Ultra High Performance Cementitious (UHPC) Materials for Wind Turbines
NauticAWT have developed and are manufacturing UHPC materials, including the NaX™ Q130 and NaX™ Q140 products, which are highly applicable for Wind Turbines.
NaX™ Q130 has been developed specifically for onshore wind turbines. It is a flowable, cohesive and impermeable grout, which can easily be pumped into structures with narrow constrictions and develops high compressive strength in a short period of time.
NaX™ Q140 has been developed specifically for offshore wind turbines and in addition to the characteristics of NaX™ Q130, this grout also exhibits anti-washout properties, which means it can be pumped underwater and is impermeable to water ingress hence highly suitable for offshore applications.
The features and benefits of NaX™ Q130 and NaX™ Q140 include:
- Good flowability
- High Early Strengths
- Shrinkage compensated
- Final setting time before 6 hours at 25°C
- No segregation or bleeding
These UHPC grouts ensure a long term solution that is state-of-the-art within the industry. They can be applied within temperatures from 5°C to 35°C. This means that the grout materials are highly suitable for installations in not just temperate climates but also sub-tropical and tropical climates where other grouts prove inadequate.
